We met Chris on a chilly morning in December. He was in his element, blasting his tunes, the roaster was working away in their idilic industrial unit set in the countryside just outside of Worcester.
As Dave and I are from Worcester, we were thrilled Chris wanted to work with us.
Chris is a really nice guy. He was patiently explaining to me how roasting works, what "first crack" was and how they generally approach roasting.
He set up several of their coffees for us to try during a cupping session which was really fun!
Chris has been around the block a few times, he moved to Australia 20 years ago, he had another coffee business before this one and he's had to be more mindful of his caffeine intake after a recent health episode - a nightmare for any coffee lover, let alone a coffee roaster! Despite having some battle scars, his passion for coffee, quality and ethics (real ethics, not just the fluffy stuff) are abundantly clear.
Part of the Limited Coffee brand is being able to highlight smaller, passionate coffee roasters based in the UK and we are so proud to be working with a local (to us) company who truly care about coffee, quality and ethics.
