A little piece of Limited Coffee trivia is that once we had the idea for the company, Olfactory was one of the first roasters we reached out to to gauge interest in our idea and the only one to respond! Linda was super open and honest and really helpful with my endless questions in the summer of 2023.
More recently I spoke on the phone with Mariya and she was really nice and supportive of our idea, despite us trying to get samples arranged between their farmers market and Christmas - thanks again y'all!
Sadly, we didn't manage to visit Olfactory just yet but taking some insights from their website:
The company was founded in 2013 seemingly out of frustration of the oily, dark-roasted commercial coffee we all know and don't love! It's a modern operation led by 2 custom built Diedrich roasters from the US. Having such modern equipment means the team are able to obsess over every aspect of the roast resulting in incredible coffee for us all to enjoy.
These guys have been around for quite some time and have been lucky enough some meet some of the coffee producers who also believe in long term relationships.
I can't wait until we can get down to Cornwall to visit the team at Olfactory!
