SMALL BATCH COFFEE ROASTERS

SMALL BATCH COFFEE ROASTERS

Small Batch Coffee Roasters are one of the OGs in the speciality coffee game in the UK. They were founded in 2006 and they’re a bunch of creative coffee enthusiasts from Brighton who love to source and experiment with wonderful coffees from all over the world.

Small Batch by name and small batch by nature - they started off small, no doubt, but these guys are dedicated to great taste and quality and that’s why they’re still roasting in small batches today on one of their two roasters (not bad, huh!).

They have a Loring and a Probat down at SBHQ in Portslade which also boasts a cool cafe and training centre (why is Brighton so far away from Worcester!).

In 2023 they were proud to be recognised for their dedication to small batches and high quality by earning some impressive awards. These include:

  • Great Taste Awards (6 coffees are winners, no less!)
  • Great British Food Awards (Gold)
  • Superior Taste Award (International Taste Institute)
  • Best Coffee Roaster (Highly Commended at the European Coffee Awards)

We spoke to Colin (the boss man) and he explained that his main focus in on growing their online and wholesale business. He also said that he’s excited to be partnering with us (his words, not ours… Promise!). The feeling is mutual - we are super proud to work with such an OG in the speciality coffee scene!
