A new kid on the block. KOTA Coffee Co was founded by Daniel in 2023. A software engineer by trade, Daniel has turned his passion for coffee into a business!
They're based in Farnham, Surrey and they can be seen at the local farmers market converting locals one at a time into speciality coffee lovers. They’re not only converting local consumers but also businesses with their wholesale offerings, too.
We were lucky enough to do a remote tasting with Daniel as he walked us through a selection of their coffee. Honestly, for such a young company, the coffee was fantastic. Daniel is a very knowledgeable guy with a clear passion for his craft, I think he was as excited as I was, that we were coming out with just about the same tasting notes. I’m not sure if that's a tribute to his roasting skills or my obviously finely honed-palate! (in all seriousness, that's all him)
Daniel's commitment to his coffee extends so far as having converted part of his home into a purpose-built roastery. He’s also committed to sustainability, like a lot of our roaster partners. Coffee is roasted to order, of course, this both keeps it fresh for you, helps reduce waste and minimises their carbon footprint. Packaging has a lot of thought too, all of the packaging is either compostable or truly recyclable, but they’ll provide you with clear instructions so you know how to follow through with your bit and responsibly dispose of it.
