Q&A WITH ADRIAN

Q&A WITH ADRIAN

Q&A WITH WHO?

So, we didn't tell you, but Limited Coffee actually very recently went from a team of two to a team of three. Super exciting, right? I know!

What better way for you to get to know the new guy than to run a little Q&A with him too. So, who in fact is 'him'? Adrian, no less, our new marketing director. All the way from Western Australia, (somewhere in sunny Herts these days though!) he has come on board with his wealth of marketing expertise to us, to help you, discover the best coffee you've ever tasted ❤️

So without further ado,...

WHAT’S YOUR GO TO HOME COFFEE?

Macchiato. Simple. No fancy processes, tricks or tools. Find a good roast, add a splash of milk and off to the races.

DO YOU HAVE A FAVOURITE ORIGIN/PROCESS METHOD?

I tend to pick up locally ground beans whenever I travel. My cupboard usually has something fresh kicking around from the continent. A friend just came back from a trip to Colombia and I’m enjoying some of their darker roasts right now.

WHAT DOES YOUR HOME COFFEE SET-UP LOOK LIKE?

I’m 100% cafetière. Now that I’ve joined the team at LC I’m guessing that will be added to pretty quickly, but it’s done me proud to date and is handy to have sat on my desk when I’m home working.

WHAT’S YOUR GO TO COFFEE SHOP ORDER?

Espresso, or if I’m feeling middle-aged hipster enough, an oat milk latte. It all comes down to my choice of cardigan on the day.

WHAT’s YOUR COFFEE STRATEGY WHILE ON HOLIDAY?

At the hotel, it’ll be Nespresso machine and pods, out and about it’s all about small, local and Indy. My family have threatened death and claimed starvation as I drag them around the streets trying to find a good spot.

DO YOU HAVE A MOST MEMORABLE COFFEE MOMENT/STORY?

Not one specific moment, but coming from suburban Australia, the culture of sitting in a square somewhere in Europe, sipping coffee, starting at centuries-old architecture and watching the world pass by is pretty hard to beat.

WHAT’S BEEN THE BEST THING ABOUT LC SO FAR FOR YOU?

This is a side hustle for all of us. In order for it to be something worth investing time in (because it’s definitely not about the money right now), it was important that I felt part of a team. I see Dave and Paul as two guys that I want to spend my spare time with, trying to do something cool. The fact that we don’t know where this is going to end up is really exciting and it’s a journey I’m looking forward to.

WHAT DO YOU DO FOR WORK OUTSIDE OF LC?

I’m in marketing and I’ve been working in booze for a while. I’ve spent a good chunk of my career in craft beer, and now a lot of my days are taken up with whisky, rum and gin. So vices basically. Coffee adds another string to the bow. I also help out my wife with our sustainable skincare business Clementine Suds. So a main hustle and some side hustles, which is a nice segue into the next question…

WHAT DO YOU DO IN YOUR SPARE TIME?

What spare time? I have two kids (12 and 5), an established marketing career and a couple of fun side projects. I do try to grab an hour in front of the telly each night to wind down, and I’m a big fan of podcasts when I’m on the move (Business Wars, How I Built This or a cheeky bit of true crime).

DO YOU HAVE ANY FUN FACTS?

Finland has more saunas than cars. I found this out whilst researching Finnish whisky. Apparently, it’s commonly known, but was news to me.
