CHANGES AFTER 2 MONTHS OF BUSINESS

CHANGES AFTER 2 MONTHS OF BUSINESS

Limited coffee launched in January 2024 (and we have been scheming and plotting since July 2023). It’s only been a few weeks since launch but we’d love to update on how things are going and what’s changing.

We’re a young company and we believe that it’s important to reflect often and be honest with ourselves into what’s working and what’s not and we’re happy to share it all with you.

HOW’S IT GOING SO FAR?

So far, we’ve been pleased with the feedback we’ve had so far on the concept and the coffee that we’ve picked has gone down a treat.

We’ve had a steady amount of orders and even some repeat business in just a few weeks and we’re super optimistic about our potential and delighting more people with our incredible picks.

WHAT’S CHANGING?

There are 3 main changes to be aware of:

1. WE’RE PARKING THE LIMITED COFFEE CLUB. FOR NOW…

Even though it hasn’t been long, our excitement for the limited coffee club (our subscription offering) hasn’t extended into sign-ups. It could be that we are pulling the plug too soon, but we believe that we should focus on our beans on deck offering, build credibility and trust over time, and then re-launch the limited coffee club with a track record of slam dunks behind us.

2. THE BEANS ON DECK DROPS WILL ROTATE OUT EVERY 2 MONTHS

Originally we had planned for beans on deck to be a quarterly rotation, giving everyone a chance to try 2 or 3 different coffees we offer.

We’ve since learned more about the green coffee buying process and know that having a non-regular (E.g. a year-round blend) coffee on offer for 3 months can be a stretch. Not only that, but our hunch is people will try 1 or 2 different coffees and then be looking for the next new thing. Not everybody likes everything, right?

3. DECAF AND…

There are some incredible decafs out there, and they’ve come a long way in the last 5 years. “But” we know it’s not for everyone and we want to showcase the best of the roasters we work with. The last change is that which ever roaster is on the decaf spot will now also have another spot in the roster. That roaster will have the lucky role of showcasing their decaf and something else we know you’re going to love.

We truly love hearing from you. You can let us know what you think about our coffee, what you’d like to see more, or less of, any roasters you’d love us to feature or even just send us some cute pictures of your pets. Reach out to us on Instagram, via email or even chat on the site.

Thanks,
Paul and Dave
