A look back at 2024
The year we officially launched Limited Coffee! It was a work in progress and a passion project since summer 2023 and we were super proud to launch a business and launch ourselves into the very welcoming coffee industry. A full year on and we’re still here, very much alive and kicking; we’re still learning, growing and drinking great coffee!
We have featured and built relationships with 25 roasters, featured 30 insanely good coffees (we got the 5* reviews to boot) and we’ve had a lot of fun along the way!
Lessons Learned
It’s not all sunshine and rainbows. Dave and I quickly realised that marketing is something we probably can’t white-knuckle our way through. We get really good feedback from the industry and customers about our concept but getting new customers, as with all young brands, is the challenge. With that, we took the decision to look for an addition to the team.
I dare say another valuable lesson we learned was where our daily caffeine limit is (or very close to!)! For our first drop, we arranged two roaster visits in one day, which doesn't sound too off the wall. But I think it started with morning coffee, then cupping 6 coffees at Studio alongside a couple of espressos, onto Wogan for another round of espressos, and a tasting of another 6 or 8 coffees. Everything got a little, ummm, buzzy, but we do it all for you!
Enter Adrian
After interviewing multiple candidates and several rounds, we were super happy to welcome Adrian to the squad. We did a Q&A with Adrian here but in brief, he brings a ton of marketing experience to the team and has a history in the craft beer and booze industry so he’s come to us to get lost in the coffee industry and add a strategic approach to our marketing efforts.
Plans for 2025
We think we have a cool concept so the bones of Limited Coffee will likely remain the same. With Adrian’s guidance, we will be focusing on growing our trust and position in the market. We have been working on our brand positioning in the background and the recent survey we published bolsters our direction. We are ready to start making more waves in the industry. We might also be experimenting with some new ideas and products in the future. Stay tuned for that!
Beyond that, we started this company to help coffee lovers find their next amazing coffee from artisans up and down the country without needing a PhD. We are still on our journey but we’ve had a blast so far and we are bullish on the opportunity ahead of us.
